Whew wee...did any of you get caught up in Black Friday or Cyber Monday???
I stayed home and my grandson, Zachary , & I put up our Christmas tree.....it always goes up the Saturday after Christmas.
I love this time of year, don't you? With the antcipation of greeting or hearing from old friends. Smelling that fresh baked flavor of cookies that  float thru the house and seeing that first snow flake of winter. Wow!
Today, Zach & I will decorate the house with my collection of Santa's , that gives we a twinkle in my eye all month long.

Misty Memories by Barbara Linzey

Gentle rain is falling,
Weather is cold and damp; causing one to shiver.
Surrounding mountains covered in wispy clouds,
like smoke reaching to the river.
Sweet memories of Scotland comes to mind.......
Same wispy clouds on mountainside, moor and glen making up the highlands.
It's a world surreal, a world of foggy mist, a world of make believe, a world of
unseen faries..........
Amongst the dew and mist, fern and old oak tree ,dewy mist that follows the ground
and river bed.
It floats through the forest like wispy smoke across the forest floor and bubbling brook;
alive and free..........

Old World Belsnickles

"I will hold Christmas in my heart, and try to keep it all the year."
                                                                      Charles Dickens

Each Santa begins with a handmade cloth body. All Santa's are individually designed and no 2 are alike. They stand approximately 15 inches tall and are on a  solid wood base. Each comes with their own history and Legend.

Crayons the Magic Paint in Quilting

Did you know when the crayola was invented in the 1920's women tinted their linens with them and then Embroidered them. This technique is called Cloth etching. These designs are a combination of drawing, coloring  and fine Embroidery.  Used on pillows, pictures, scraves and Quilts. Each person becomes an Artists when they use their  needle and thread.
